Every city should have a Maddie Green. You know the kind, someone who writes a column on wine and loves comic books but still finds time to write and model. The kind of person who realizes what this town needs is a Zombie Lurch down State Street one Saturday afternoon... and can get almost 200 people to show up in zombie garb.
That's the kind of person I like to build web sites for. Someone with a voice. Someone who does exactly what she wants to do.
The site is not my style at all, which made for a fun design process. I was shooting for a Victorian post-apocalyptic zombie thing, which isn't something I've done before, obviously. I wanted it to look like a ruined house from Edward Gorey's sketch book. I wanted worn damask wallpaper ripped from raw concrete. That, with a touch of modern rot (which is why the logo is not Victorian or zombie-ish).
