The first version of this site was designed to sell Ms. Ingman and her book idea. Once Ms. Ingman sold her book, we needed to change the site to re-focus attention to the book and less on the author. Thus, the site went from dark and movie-ready to something more closely aligned to the idea of the book, that being motherhood. However, the author was concerned about being pigeon-holed into the "mama-lit" category, so we found a balance between the mama-focus and on Ms. Ingman, the professional writer.
The design is simple. We push the book and the person without letting details get in the way. Even the logo is clean, allowing for new titles to be inserted as new books are sold.
